2011-12 - REDSHIRT SEASON 
Won a team-high 26 matches - 11 of which came on pins - while competing on the open circuit...Opened his career with a fourth place finish and a 6-2 performance at the Eastern Michigan Open (Nov. 5), including two pins, a tech fall and a major decision...went 5-0 and captured the title of the freshman/sophomore bracket at the Michigan State Open (Nov. 12)...Finished 2-3 at the Nittany Lion Open (Dec. 4), winning his bouts on a 7-0 decision and a pin...Went 4-1 at the Ashland Storm Open (Jan. 7)...dropped his first match at the Mount Union Purple Raider Open (Jan. 15) but responded with two pins and a major decision victory...Recorded three pins at the Simonson Open (Jan. 28)...finished the year with a 2-1 showing at the National Collegiate Open (Feb. 26).

HIGH SCHOOL
Two time sectional and Mentor district champion while at Mayfield High School...Named News-Herald `Wrestler of the Year' in 2011...placed seventh at the Ohio High School Athletic Association meet at 130 pounds as a junior in 2010...runner-up at the state meet in 2011, losing by decision to a wrestler he beat at the district meet...won 45 times a senior...all of his losses came to top-four finishers at the state meet.
